Help & Support
How can we help?
Answers to common questions, ways to fix a listing, and how to reach a real person about your account or your data.
- Yes. Searching, saving, rating and adding washrooms is free. Some facilities charge their own entry fee (for example at metro stations or pay-and-use complexes); listings show this with a Paid or Free badge, but fees can change, so check on site.
- Each listing shows the average of the cleanliness, water and smell ratings people have left, along with how many reviews it has. Ratings are the community's opinions, not official inspections, and a place can change after it was reviewed.
- Sign in with Google, then choose List Your Washroomfrom the menu (or the + button on desktop). Add the name, location, type and whether it's free. New listings are checked by a moderator before they appear publicly. To prevent spam, each account can add up to 10 washrooms a day.
- Open the washroom and tap Report an Issue at the bottom of the page. Choose what's wrong (incorrect location, closed, wrong hours, cleanliness, safety, accessibility or a duplicate) and add details. A moderator reviews each report and corrects or removes the listing if needed.
- It widens the list to include restaurants, malls and hospitals near you, for when you need a washroom urgently. It is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger or needs medical help, call 112.
- Only to show washrooms near you. It's optional: you can decline and search by area instead, and turn it off any time in your browser settings. We don't keep a trail of where you've been.
- Yes. On a phone, tap Install in the bottom bar; on a computer, open the menu in the dock and choose Install app. The install page (washrooms.vercel.app/install) has steps for Safari, Chrome, Edge, Brave, Firefox and Samsung Internet.
- Email support.washrooms@gmail.com from the address you sign in with, with the subject "Delete my account". We acknowledge requests within 24 hours and complete them within 15 days. Washrooms you added may stay in the public directory without your name, so places others rely on don't disappear.
- Contributions are voluntary and don't buy any product or service. They aren't tax-deductible donations. Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never see or store your card, UPI or bank details. If you were charged twice or charged for a failed payment, email support.washrooms@gmail.com with the payment ID within 7 days and we'll refund it to the original payment method.
