1. Acceptance
By accessing or using Washrooms, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the application.
2. Community Guidelines
Our community relies on shared trust. When utilizing Washrooms, you agree to:
- Provide honest feedback and refrain from posting malicious or intentionally misleading reviews.
- Respect the facilities you visit and comply with all physical site rules.
- Refrain from abusive or harassing behavior toward facility operators or other community members.
3. User Contributions
When listing new washrooms, you represent that the coordinates, accessibility options, and address information provided are accurate and posted in good faith. Specifically:
- False or fake listings are strictly prohibited and will be removed immediately.
- You must not post coordinate data that does not match the actual restroom site.
- You agree to respect facilities and user permissions.
4. Accuracy of Washroom Information
Washrooms relies on community-sourced data. While we strive to maintain high standards, we make no representations or warranties about the cleanliness, safety, availability, or accuracy of the restrooms shown.
5. Reviews
Any review comment or rating score you submit must reflect genuine experiences. We reserve the right to review, moderate, edit, or delete any user contributions that violate community standards, contain offensive speech, or constitute spam.
6. Account Responsibilities
To submit content or view your stats, you must authenticate through Google Sign-In. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your login credentials.
- Ensuring that all details provided during registration are accurate.
- Promptly notifying support of any unauthorized use of your account.
7. Intellectual Property
The original content, layout design, icons, logos, and software codebase of Washrooms are owned by our project developers and protected under intellectual property laws.
8. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall Washrooms or its maintainers be liable for any damages, health incidents, or inconveniences arising out of your reliance on mapped restroom coordinates or cleanliness ratings.
9. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time. Your continued use of the application following any modifications signifies your acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older to create an account, or use Washrooms with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts these terms for you.
11. Voluntary Contributions
Supporting the project is optional and does not purchase any product, service or feature. Contributions are not donations to a registered charity and are not eligible for tax deductions.
Payments are processed by Razorpay; we never receive your card, UPI or bank details. Contributions are non-refundable, except where you were charged more than once or charged for a failed payment. In that case, email support.washrooms@gmail.com with the payment ID within 7 days and we will refund it to the original payment method.
12. Not an Emergency Service
Washrooms, including Emergency mode, only helps you find nearby facilities. It does not contact emergency services and listings may be closed, inaccessible or out of date. If you or someone else is in danger or needs medical help, call 112.
13. Grievances & Governing Law
If you believe content on Washrooms is unlawful, infringes your rights or violates these terms, or you have a complaint about your account, email us at support.washrooms@gmail.com. We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 15 days, in line with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. These terms are governed by the laws of India.
